About Wes

With nearly two decades of real estate experience and deep roots in the Wylie community, Wes Dorsey has built a reputation as one of the area's most trusted and respected real estate professionals. As Director of the M&D Real Estate Wylie office, Wes combines local expertise, strategic leadership, and exceptional client service to help buyers and sellers confidently achieve their real estate goals.

Having lived in Wylie for more than 26 years, Wes offers unmatched local market knowledge and insight into the area's neighborhoods, schools, and continued growth. His commitment to excellence has earned him the Wylie News Reader's Choice "Best Realtor" award six times (2019, 2021, 2022, 2024, 2025, and 2026).

Before launching his real estate career, Wes spent his professional career in operations and global supply chain management with General Electric, specializing in gas and wind turbine manufacturing. He also earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.

In addition to serving his clients, Wes is the creator and host of the Live Love Wylie Podcast, which is all about “Connecting People, in the City we Live and Love.” Through the podcast, Wes spotlights local businesses, community leaders, events, and the people who make Wylie such a vibrant place to live. The podcast reflects his genuine passion for the city and his ongoing commitment to supporting and celebrating the community.

Outside of real estate, Wes and his wife, Sheela, are proud to call Wylie home. They are the proud parents of three children and are active members of the Wylie Chamber of Commerce, where they enjoy giving back to the community that has played such an important role in their family's life. When he's not helping clients or recording podcast episodes, Wes enjoys golfing, hunting, and attending live music concerts.
